USB Serial Terminal Lite 1.5

Smartphones Serial Terminal Program allows users to connect USB equipment featuring Silicon Laboratories CP210X, FTDI FT232, and Prolific PL2303, as well as CDC/ACM UART to USB Bridge chips to their smartphones. Additionally, the program is compatible with the Zigbee Chip TI CC2531, providing a USB-enabled SOC solution for 2.4-GHz IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee App integration.

The application offers similar functionality to that of a PC for serial communication terminal purposes, supporting UART to USB Bridge chips including Silicon Laboratories (CP210X), FTDI (FT232), and Prolific (PL2303). It also boasts ARDUINO support for FTDI and CDC/ACM technologies.

Compatible smartphones include those with USB host support such as Samsung Galaxy 2, Galaxy 3, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2, and Vega Racer R3, running on Android version 3.1 (API Level 12) or higher.

1. Quick Start
   1. Connect the USB device to your smartphone using an OTG cable.
   2. Once the device is detected by the smartphone, select 'OK' to run the App.
   3. Access the Settings by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner to configure serial communication settings.
   4. Save the settings.
   5. Connect to the device by clicking on the phone icon in the upper right corner.

   • ASCII: Displays received data in ASCII format.
   • HEX: Displays received data in hexadecimal format.
   • BIN: Displays received data in binary format.
   • Connect Button (Phone icon): Establish a connection with the USB device. The icon changes to a close icon after connection is established.
   • Settings Button (Wrench icon): Opens the serial communication setting window.
   • Upper (RX) CR, LF: Configure line separators for received data.
   • Modem status buttons: Indicates CTS, DSR, CD, RI pin statuses.
   • USB device description: Displays detailed information about the connected USB device.
   • Clear received data: Use the Trash icon to clear all received data in the text area.
   • Received data text area: Shows printed received data.
   • DTR button: Controls modem DTR status.
   • RTS button: Controls modem RTS status.
   • Lower (TX) CR/LF: Append line separators for transferring data.
   • Transfer (TX) Text input field: Enter desired data to be transferred in string, decimal, hexadecimal, or binary format. By default, data is entered as a string. For binary data entry, specific formats are used such as @ + 3-digit number for decimal, # + 2-digit hex for hexadecimal, and & + 8-digit binary.
